Eligibility Criteria for Assam High School TET Recruitment 2023
Education Qualification
- For the post of Graduate Teacher (Arts), the candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate degree in Arts or Commerce from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation (or its equivalent) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.
- For the post of Graduate Teacher (Science), the candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate degree in Science from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation (or its equivalent) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.
- In respect of Secondary TET, candidates must obtain 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for the OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and PwD categories.
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with at least 50% marks, and a degree qualification with at least 50% marks or a Post-Graduate degree in Arts with at least 50% marks from any recognized university.
- Alternatively, a BA degree with at least 50% marks with Hindi as one of the subjects with at least 50% marks, or a Post-Graduate degree in Arts with at least 50% marks provided that the candidate has passed BA with one of the subjects as Hindi with at least 50% marks in Hindi.
- B.T/B.Ed. degree from any recognized university (Parangat to be treated as a B.Ed. degree).In respect of Secondary TET, candidates must obtain 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for the OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and PwD categories.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Shastri with at least 50% marks and having a degree qualification with at least 50% marks or a Post-Graduate degree in Arts with at least 50% marks from any recognized university. Alternatively, a BA degree with at least 50% marks with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with at least 50% marks, or a Post-Graduate degree in Arts with at least 50% marks in Sanskrit.
- B.T./B.Ed. degree from any recognized university.
- In respect of Secondary TET, candidates must obtain 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for the OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and PwD categories.
Medium of Instruction
(i) For Assamese medium schools, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Assamese Language as one of the subjects, or have a Diploma in Assamese Language issued by the Axom Sahitya Sabha, or have studied up to the HSLC level in an Assamese medium school.
(ii) For Bengali medium schools, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bengali language as one of the subjects, or have a Diploma in Bengali language issued by the Barak Upatyaka Bangya Sahitya O Sanskriti Sammelan, or have studied up to the HSLC level in a Bengali medium school.
(iii) For Hindi medium schools, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Hindi language as one of the subjects or have studied up to the HSLC level in a Hindi medium school.
(iv) For Bodo medium schools, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bodo language as one of the subjects or have studied up to the HSLC level in a Bodo medium school.
(v) For English medium schools, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Alternative English as one of the subjects or have studied from Class XI onwards in an English medium school.
